ParticleScan instruments use laser technology to measure particle concentrations in ambient air. The instruments continuously measure the concentration of airborne particles and display an updated reading every six seconds on the easy to read LED display. The user is able to monitor particle concentration changes as they occur, and allows individual pollution sources to be tracked down by using as a particle sniffer. Additionally, instruments can identify single particles from 0.3 microns to 5 microns (user selectable), making them far more sensitive than photometers which identify only particle clouds. All measurements can be easily stored to a PC or Palm® device (not included) using the supplied software. Fast and Easy To Operate: The Pro is a continuous monitor that updates particle concentrations every 6 seconds. A laser diode identifies the size of particles and displays the concentration per cubic foot or per liter. The user selectable functions are easily accessed via touch pad keys. User Selectable Particle Size Menu: Depending on application, the Pro can measure across a range of common particle sizes. Detection ranges extend from 0.3 µm to 5.0 µm and are user selectable.
